Double-entry bookkeeping for commercial companies
Service

Double-entry bookkeeping

Full double-entry bookkeeping including annual accounts and the corporate tax return.

No-obligation enquiry Full price list

Double-entry bookkeeping is required by Slovak law for all companies. We handle it end to end — from posting a single invoice through monthly filings to the annual accounts and the tax return.

Who is required to keep it

Every limited liability company, joint-stock company and cooperative must keep double-entry books. The obligation starts on the day of registration in the Commercial Register, not with the first transaction.

A sole trader who is not required to may also choose it — with higher income and more assets it gives a more accurate picture than single-entry.

What we handle

  • posting of incoming and outgoing invoices, cash documents and bank statements
  • fixed asset register including depreciation schedules
  • general ledger, journal and trial balance
  • annual accounts including the notes
  • corporate income tax return
  • filing of the accounts with the Register of Financial Statements

Value added tax

For VAT payers we prepare monthly or quarterly returns, control statements and, for supplies to other EU member states, EC sales lists. We verify customer VAT numbers and make sure every exemption is supported by evidence that will stand up to an audit.

How a month works

We collect documents in person or electronically, usually by the tenth day of the following month. Once processed, you receive a summary of your position and a note on anything that needs attention — unpaid receivables, upcoming deadlines, items without supporting documents.

Filings with the tax office are submitted using a qualified electronic signature, so you do not need to attend in person.

Pricing

From €60 a month for up to fifty accounting entries. The final price depends on the actual number of documents and the scope of work — we send it within two working days of the first consultation, which is free of charge.
